API

SamarinaBooru exposes a read-and-write JSON and XML API, inherited from Danbooru.

Basics

Add @.json@ or @.xml@ to most page URLs to get that page as data:

• @/posts.json@ — recent posts
• @/posts.json?tags=samarie+marina@ — a tag search
• @/tags.json@ — tags

Authentication

Some endpoints need you to be logged in. Create an API key under API Keys and send it with your username. Treat your API key like a password — anyone holding it can act as you.

Please be considerate

This is a small site on a small server. Keep your request rate low, request only what you need, and identify your script with a sensible user agent. Automated bulk scraping may get your access limited.
