Post Relationships (Parent and Child)

When two posts are versions of the same artwork, they can be linked as parent and child. This keeps searches tidy while still keeping every version available.

What to link

Typical parent/child pairs:

• an uncensored version and its censored version,
• a version with text and one without,
• a colour version and the original sketch,
• every page of a short comic linked to the first page,
• alternate outfits or expressions drawn over the same base.

Which one is the parent

The parent should be the "best" or most complete version — normally the highest quality, uncensored, untranslated original. The other versions become its children.

What it changes

By default, children are hidden from search results when their parent is present, so one artwork does not fill your screen with near-identical thumbnails. A post with children shows a notice with a link to them, and a child shows a link back to its parent.

Setting it

Edit the child post and put the parent's post ID in the "Parent" field.
