Post Search Help
This page explains how to search for posts on SamarinaBooru using tags and search operators.
Basic search
Type one or more tags separated by spaces to find posts that have all of them.
- samarina — posts tagged samarina.
- samarie marina_domek — posts tagged with both samarie AND marina_domek.
Excluding tags
Put a minus sign in front of a tag to exclude posts that have it.
- -samarina fear_and_hunger_termina — posts tagged with the fear_and_hunger_termina, but NOT tagged samarina.
- marina_domek -samarie — posts with marina_domek, excluding anything also tagged samarie.
Either/or search
Wrap tags in parentheses with a tilde (~) between them to match posts with at least one of the tags.
- ( samarie ~ olivia ) — posts tagged samarie OR olivia (or both).
- ( levi ~ marina_domek ~ samarie ) — posts with any of the three.
Wildcards
Use an asterisk (*) to match any tag starting with (or containing) that text.
- sama* — matches every tag starting with "sama" (samarina, samarie, ...).
- *_domek — matches every tag ending in "_domek" (marina_domek, ...).
Metatags
Metatags use a colon (tag:value) to filter or sort by something other than a regular tag.
Rating
Status
- status:pending — awaiting approval (only visible to the uploader and moderators — see the site's pending-post policy).
- status:deleted — deleted posts.
- status:any — every status, including pending/deleted.
Post info
- id:1 — the post with that exact ID number.
- id:>100, id:<100 — posts with an ID greater/less than 100.
- user:samarie_fan — posts uploaded by that user.
- approver:samarie_fan — posts approved by that user.
- source:*pixiv* — posts whose source URL contains "pixiv".
- md5:d34db33f — the post with that exact file checksum.
- parent:1 — posts that are children of post #1.
- pool:samarina_comic — posts in that pool.
Score & favorites
- score:>10 — score higher than 10.
- score:<0 — negative score.
- favcount:>5 — favorited by more than 5 users.
Size
- width:>1000, height:<2000 — image dimensions.
- ratio:1:1 — square images.
- mpixels:>2 — resolution above 2 megapixels.
- filesize:>5MB — file size above 5 megabytes.
Date
- date:2026-01-01 — uploaded on that exact date.
- age:<1day — uploaded less than a day ago.
- age:>1week — uploaded more than a week ago.
Sorting
Use order: to change how results are sorted instead of the default (newest first).
- samarina order:score — highest score first.
- samarina order:favcount — most favorited first.
- samarina order:rank — currently popular ("Hot").
- samarina order:random — shuffled.
Putting it all together
Search terms can be combined freely:
- samarie marina_domek rating:g -status:deleted order:score — safe-rated Samarie + Marina Domek posts, excluding deleted ones, best score first.
