Artist Commentary
Artist commentary is the title and description the artist wrote when they originally posted the artwork — the caption from Twitter, Pixiv, Tumblr, and so on.
It is stored with the post so the artist's own words are not lost if the original is deleted or their account goes away.
How it gets there
When a post is uploaded with a source link, the site usually fetches the commentary automatically. If it did not, or if it came out wrong, anyone can add or fix it from the post page.
Translating commentary
If the original is in another language, you can add an English translation alongside it. The original text is always kept — a translation is added next to it, never on top of it.
Keep translations faithful. Do not add jokes, opinions, or commentary of your own.
