Upload Limits
Your upload limit is shown on your profile and on the upload page as a counter like "0/5".
- The first number is how many upload slots you are currently using.
- The second number is how many slots you have in total.
What uses a slot
A slot is used by an upload that is still waiting to be reviewed by a moderator. Slots are not used by uploads that are already live on the site, no matter how many you have.
- A post waiting for review uses 1 slot.
- A deleted post you appealed uses 3 slots.
- A post of yours that was deleted in the last three days uses 5 slots.
A slot is freed as soon as the upload is approved or deleted. Because most uploads here go live right away, your counter will usually sit at 0 and you will never notice the limit.
Why the limit exists
It stops a single account from flooding the site with hundreds of uploads faster than anyone can check them. It is a queue limit, not a total limit — there is no cap on how many posts you may have on the site overall.
How your total grows
Every account starts with 5 slots and can grow up to 40.
- You gain slots as your uploads get approved.
- You lose slots if your uploads get deleted.
So the limit opens up on its own as you upload things that fit the site. If you are new, upload a few posts, let them go through, and your limit will rise.
If you hit the limit
Wait for your pending uploads to be reviewed. Once they are handled, your slots free up and you can upload again. Deleting your own pending upload also frees its slot immediately.
